Marching On

I refuse to believe it’s March.

Although considering how I keep denying the start of each new month, I’m technically stuck back in March of 2009…

March no longer means I can try to tuck in my belly fat in layers of coats and shirts. And yes, it’s finally time to get those Christmas door decorations down. By now, my roommates and I have near convinced ourselves that the pom-pons and the reindeer wallpaper are good to stay for the year. Every day is Christmas!. But March is the month to clean out the old and get ready for spring season. To me, it seems to make more sense that the year starts out in March when the snow begins to melt and the sun finally surfaces from its reverie. January is still icy cold, and it’s no muddy secret that not all of us can let go of the troubled past.
